The bill suggests establishing additional security guarantees of legal professional activity of journalists, particularly, concerning strengthening criminal liability for committing crimes against journalists.
The bill particularly suggests supplementing the Criminal Code with several special crime components.
The document also suggests determining compensatory payments in case of death or injury of journalists while performing their professional duties.
Respective amendments are to be made to the Law “On state support of mass media and social protection of journalists”.
